Save a life with life jackets and PFD's with DINGA Online today!

Whether you’re engaged in fishing, boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, kite surfing, windsurfing or any other water activities, you’ll need to get your hands on a suitable Personal Floatation Device (PFD). PFD is another term for life jacket, but they are critical and potentially life-saving requirements for every water sports enthusiast.

Life jackets (PFD's) come in a range of types for specific purposes for both adults and children. DINGA has life jackets (PFD's) that are all the best brand names and Certified to Australian Standards.

You can not get second best when you are buying a life jacket. That doesn't mean you need to pay more for the best life jackets available in Australia. Now you can have the best, and have them delivered free when you shop with DINGA online.

Modern life jackets are truly life-saving devices because they are designed to be worn. The problem with inferior life jackets is that they are not comfortable and many people aboard boats and ships believe they have time to put on an uncomfortable life jacket when disaster strikes.

Research has shown the primary reason that makes a life jacket effective is the fact that the user is wearing the jacket before something goes wrong.

You don't often have time to put on a life jacket when a boat is sinking or you have already become airborne by crazy waves. Full life jackets are to be worn at most times while aboard small vessels and it is important you understand the requirements of your local laws and on-water regulations.

All our life jackets (PFD's) are certified to Australia Standards, with proper manufacturing processes and quality control ensures you are getting the genuine item with every product you buy at DINGA online.

PFDs are divided into five 'levels': Level 275, Level 150, Level 100, Level 50 and Level 50S.

The PFD levels are determined in terms of buoyancy and safety. Level 275 is suited for commercial applications and offshore extreme conditions; Level 150 is an open water, offshore deep-water life jacket; Level 100 is for open sheltered waters (the same as the old 'Type 1' category - basically the traditional life jacket); Level 50 (the same as the old 'Type 2') is a buoyancy vest worn in protected waters or near the shore, where help is at hand; and Level 50S (the same as the old 'Type 3') and is suited as a sports buoyancy vest, in sheltered waters where help is at hand, as it provides limited protection against drowning.

When it comes to choosing what's best for you and your boating needs, ensure that you check with your local Australian Marine Safety Authority for more information specific to the State-by-State PFD requirements.

Please note: Compliance to Australian Safety Standards requires that all inflatable PFDs must be serviced annually from the "date of purchase".

Here at DINGA, you know you are always getting the genuine brand item with Australian Standards at the best price in Australia. All of our stock is already in Australia and in our warehouse.
